On 19-8-2018 arrest the defendants who received the religious heritage manuscripts belong to the museum of St.Toma Church in Baghdad. The Ninewa Investigation Court JAMC, which is competent to deal with terrorism and organized crime, has confirmed the confessions of three accused, Judge Abdul Sater Bierqdar spokesman for the Supreme Judicial Council said, “The security forces, under the direct supervision of the Nineveh Investigation Court, arrested two suspects who had seized manuscripts belonging to the museum of the St.Tuma Church in Mosul belonging to the Syriac Catholic Diocese of Mosul.  Berkdar added that the seizures are religious manuscripts that had been lost after Daesh group takeover the city,” pointing out that “the court ratified the confessions of the accused and took all the procedures in order to refer them to the competent court.
