A dialogue session held by Shlomo Organization for Documentation at Catholic University in Ankawa /Erbil on Saturday 10 November 2018 entitled (Mechanisms of adaption Iraqi Criminal law to the international conventions/ difficulties and obstacles). the lecture presented by each of Judge Abdul Al Bast/ the president of the criminal court in Erbil, Judge Aso Sufi / formal president of criminal court and an investigating judge in Anfal Genocide,  Dr.Tavga Al Bustani / PH.D in criminal law and assistant professor at the faculty of law, and Mr.Abdul Sattar Ramadan / the vice of prosecutor.  The discussions moderated by Dr.Mona Yaqo / Professor of international law at Salahalddin University.

The main topics of the discussions took place about the problems in Iraqi criminal law to the amendment of some articles to be adopted with the crimes that committed against the minorities and the Genocide against our Christians people (Chaldean, Syriac, Assyrian, and Armenians) and the Yazidis. Which concluded that there is( no punishment without the law), This means that no trials can prosecute any ISIS member excepted through the formation of a court that proposed by UNAMI, which has submitted a law to establish the Iraqi Criminal Tribunal for the atrocity crimes, which has been discussed with several organizations concerned with human rights, including Shlomo Organization.

at the end of the session, the demands induced,  to hurry in establishing the Iraqi criminal court specialized with the atrocity crimes to achieve justice by punishing the criminals and the reparation for the victims in addition to respect their identity, culture and religious especially they subjected to the intention extermination in Iraq and Syria.

The judges insisted on the importance of adding some articles to the Criminal Law as well as amendments some articles to be adapted to the international criterion and the human rights principles, which has been signed in Iraq state.

At the end, Shlomo organization for documentation thanked the participants and the lecturers in this session. The shields were presented to the lecturers in appreciation on their efforts in defends on human rights to bring justices for the victims of Genocide that committed by Islamic Caliphate State In Iraq and Levant ISIL.
